September 2024: Big Bend
During September of 2024 we spent 4 weeks driving south to Big Bend National Park in
Texas. The photos from this trip are split into two galleries
- South to Big Bend - the drive south, including sites along the road and
- The Desolation Wilderness Desolation Wilderness in California and a hike to Island Lake,
- White Sands National Park in New Mexico,
- The Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument in New Mexico and a hike on the Pine Tree Loop Trail,
- Big Bend National Park in Texas and hikes to the South Rim via the Boot Canyon / Laguna Meadows loop, and the Lost Mine Trail.
- Return North - the drive north, including sites along the road and
- Carlsbad Caverns National Park in New Mexico,
- Guadalupe Mountains National Park in Texas and a hike up McKittrick Canyon,
- Great Basin National Park and a fall hike on the Baker Creek Trail.
