The Corn Palace in Mitchell SD Originally built in 1892, the Corn Palace is used for basketball games, stage shows, trade shows, etc. Each year a new theme is chosen, and the outside is stripped and redecorated with new corn and grains.

The Crazy Horse Memorial Started in 1947 by Korczak Ziolkowski, work on the Crazy Horse Memorial is now managed by his children. The memorial does not accept public funds. Note the white outline of the horse's head in the lower right.

Boot prints in a tar snake A Tar Snake - The highway department fills cracks in the road with tar to prevent further weather damage. The sun can soften the tar until it "flows" under pressure, as illustrated by my bootprints. This is not noticeable in a car, but a motorcycle can slip in corners
